How to add an open question

Using an open question is an ideal way to assess your learners' knowledge in a flexible format. You can ask your students to provide their thoughts via text, by recording a video, an audio or by attaching a different file type with a completed task. This is how you can add the open question to your quiz or exam.

1. Go to the quiz/exam you need.
2. Click on ‘Add question’.
3. In a pop-up window, go the ‘Open question’ section.
4. Choose the format your learners will use to provide the answer.
5. Type in the task description. 
6. Add an explanation of the expected answer if necessary.
